Over the next few months, we will explore topics related to radio direction finding. The goal will be to host a fox hunt in the county around May-June.
Our first step in that process will be construction of a simple directional antenna. Many of you may be familiar with the “tape measure yagi” project. If you are interesting in constructing one of these antennas at the March meeting, please let Matt Morrison know by Feb 18th. A bulk order will be placed on the 19th for the necessary pieces. The cost per antenna will be $15. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
Note – you do not need to be licensed to participate in this project or even in the fox hunt! Using receive-only techniques, anyone who is interested can get involved!
