Volunteers Wanted at PCARC’s Fair Booth

Showcasing Ham Radio at the Perry County Fair!

This year, PCARC will host a booth at the Perry County Fair from Tuesday, August 13th, through Saturday, August 17th. Our booth will introduce visitors to PCARC, its community goals, and service mission and feature information about Ham Radio.

We will have various radio types to demonstrate the art of radio communications. In addition, our booth will provide hand-outs detailing the process of becoming a ham and offer information about our VE testing service.

We are looking for club members to volunteer to provide resources (ham gear, tables/chairs, refreshments, etc.) and to help man the booth during the fair. Booth time over the five days is broken into four-hour shifts. Ideally, we would like to have two people always manning the booth.
