DESCRIPTION:It’s that time again! Join us for the May meeting of PCARC next Thursday\, May 9th at 7 PM. Meeting will be held at the Duncannon EMS building. Join us to discuss the upcoming club events including Field Day (next month!!)\, the Perry County Fair\, and our Fox Hunt\, among other things.  \n\n\n\nOn the note of the Fox Hunt\, we had initially intended to assemble an offset attenuator at this meeting. Sadly\, the last few weeks of the semester came with a heavier workload than I expected and I was unable to get the order information in time for the meeting. I would like to host those interested for a build party at my home this month to complete the project. We will discuss best time/date for those interested at the meeting.

DESCRIPTION:May 27\, 2023: Special Event Celebrating Marie Doro. \n\n\n\nMarie Doro (born Marie Katherine Stewart on May 25th\, 1882) was a native of Duncannon PA. She was a famous stage and silent film actress rivaling Mary Pickford. When she was on stage in England a young Charlie Chaplin had an unrequited crush on her! She was invited to perform at Windsor Palace on February 2\, 1914\, making her the first American actress to receive the honor of a royal invitation! \n\n\n\nShe went on to make 18 films between 1915 and 1922 and was featured on the cover of magazines and in advertising. She died at age 74 on October 9th\, 1956.
